The Fisher 4200 position transmitter senses the position of rotary or sliding-stem valves, vents, dampers, or other devices. When the instrument is mounted, a potentiometer shaft is mechanically connected to the device to sense mechanical motion. The instrument has standard or long-stroke capabilities for sliding-stem actuator applications. For long-stroke applications, a multi-turn potentiometer attached to a travel transducer assembly is used to sense linear motion of the actuator stem or other devices. This instrument with standard capabilities can also be used on quarter-turn actuators.

Turn on the power supply, operate the valve to the fully open position, adjust the potentiometer by 20mA, and make the current transmitter output 20mA (turn the current clockwise to increase).
Operate the valve to the fully open and closed position, adjust the potentiometer by 4mA, and make the current transmitter output 4mA, (turn the current clockwise to increase).
Repeat the operation of the valve to the fully open and fully closed position, and check again whether the output of the current transmitter is 20mA, 4mA.
It can be used normally after debugging.
