Fisher field installed meters provide monitoring for terminal control equipment. Converters, controllers, flow amplifiers, solenoid valves and switches are used to monitor flow, temperature, pressure and level changes in the process industry.
The Fisher4200 series electronic position transmitters are multifunctional meters that combine field-certified electronic and mechanical technology to sense the device position and send a standard (4 to 20 mA) output signal to the indicating device. The 4200 is available in transmitters for transmitter use only and with integrated high-low stroke electronic limit alarms or transmitters with high-low position switches only.
High precision - Precision thin-film potentiometers in standard travel products and precision multi-turn wired-wound potentiometers in long travel products provide excellent linearity by matching the range of the sensing element to the application.
Variety of applications - The instrument is suitable for use with straight or rotary valves and other mechanical devices such as furnace gates or shutters.
Electronic range Limit alarm - To avoid external installation of mechanical limit switches, instruments with range limit alarms incorporate a comparator circuit that monitors the induction potentiometer voltage output.
Adjustable dead zone - The electronic travel limit alarm has an adjustable dead zone up to 10% of the range.
Compact design - Even though this instrument has a travel limit alarm, it still requires very little space to install, making room for other equipment.
Durable construction - The rugged housing and corrosion-resistant coating on the printed circuit board help protect the instrument in harsh environments.
Circuit simplicity - Simple hybrid electronics design combines quality discrete components and integrated circuits to significantly improve reliability and performance.
Easy maintenance - Transmitters and alarms are simple in design and easy to maintain. High instrument reliability reduces the need for maintenance spare parts to.
Moisture resistance - Isolation of the field connection chamber from the electronic circuit chamber. Protect electronic circuits from moisture that enters the housing through field wiring ports.
Reversible field operation - By switching the two potentiometer leads on the printed circuit board, the output can be easily reversed in the field.
Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) filter - The filter between the electronic chamber and the field distribution chamber provides protection against electromagnetic interference.
