FISHER FIELDVUE DLC3010 digital Liquid Level Transmitter - EMERSON

Fisher® field installed meters provide monitoring for terminal control devices. Converters, controllers, flow amplifiers, solenoid valves and switches are used to monitor flow, temperature, pressure and level changes in the process industry.

Both digital electronics and pneumatic float level controllers are used for accurate level measurement or level loop control. Fisher® float level technology is used in level, level interface and density applications. Float level technology has proven to be reliable and accurate in a wide variety of process media and conditions.

The DLC3010 digital level controller is used in conjunction with the level sensor to measure the level, the level at the interface between two liquids, or the specific gravity (density) of the liquid. They are communication sensing instruments with microprocessors. In addition to providing the normal function of a 4 to 20 mA current signal, the DLC3010 digital level controller also provides easy access to important information about process operation via the HART communication protocol.

Simplified setup and calibration - The meter can be configured to use default sensor data, zero level offset, differential process SG, and zero/range only programs for quick replacement of analog transmitters (4-20mA output only). To achieve full compensation and diagnostic functions, it is recommended to complete sensor data entry and calibration.

Starting the digital level controller is very simple and fast by using the electronic installation wizard. Level and temperature alarms, gravity gauges, calibration valve internals and trends can be set at any time. The DLC3000 series digital level controllers also support range resetting without the need for a liquid reference.

Small process change response - High gain analog to digital conversion is accurate and enables the measurement of small changes in the variable under test. This allows the DLC3000 series of digital level controllers to be used in difficult level, interface or density applications. In addition, the adjustable input filter and output damping help reduce fluctuations in the output signal due to liquid turbulence resulting from the buoy.

Reduced temperature impact - The internal temperature sensor ensures stable performance of the digital level controller regardless of the ambient temperature. Depending on the temperature input signal via the HART protocol or RTD connected to the meter, the digital level controller can also automatically compensate for specific gravity changes due to temperature differences. User-supplied tables * can be entered with up to ten linear segments to achieve this function. (FIELDVUE DLC3000 Series digital level Controller manual, a sample water/steam meter is attached to Table 5631.) Data from the DLC3000 Device Description (DD) can be used to manually pre-compensate the measured torque tube rate for the target process temperature.

Other compensation - Instrumental measurement algorithms correct for small movements of the float as buoyancy changes in order to calculate the true cage or vessel level. This provides additional precision on shorter pontoons.

Robust construction - Mechanical guards in digital level controllers are designed to help the controller withstand physical damage common during installation or transportation without compromising performance. The fully packaged printed circuit board is resistant to vibration, high temperature and corrosive gases. When the coupling access port is opened, the connecting rod assembly is fixed in the middle position to ensure stable transport of the separately purchased transmitter. We have set screws for cover and protective cover handles

Easy maintenance - field wiring connections in the chamber are separated from electronic components. Prevents field wiring from bringing moisture into the housing and affecting the electronic components. It also simplifies installation and maintenance. No need to remove the digital level controller for troubleshooting or servicing. Modular structure can be serviced on site. If it is necessary to remove the digital level controller for shop maintenance and calibration, there is no need to disconnect the field wiring.

Alarm Jumper - The DLC3000 series digital level controllers are self-diagnostic and can detect errors that lead to inaccurate measurements of the variable under test

Features

  • For quick analog transmitter replacement, the instrument may be configured with default sensor data, zero level offset, differential process SG, and zero/span procedure only.

  • Accurate, high-gain analog-to-digital conversion enables measurement of small changes in the process variable. This allows for use in difficult liquid level, interface, or density applications.

  • An internal temperature sensor enables consistent performance of the digital level controller, despite ambient temperature changes.

  • Mechanical safeguards designed into the digital level controller help to withstand physical abuse often incurred during installation or in transport, without compromising performance.

  • Field wiring connections are in a compartment separated from the electronics. This protects the electronics from any moisture brought into the housing by the field wiring.

  • Includes self-diagnostics that detect an error that may render the process variable measurement inaccurate.
